Adroit's Red Vein Property, Little Pigeon Lake NI 43-101 Report Received, Multiple Drill Targets Defined, Inferred Hollinger/Mcintyre/Coniarum Complex Identified and Dr. Mark Fedikow Appointed QP

18.01.2012  |  Marketwire

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/18/12 -- Adroit Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ADT)(BERLIN: A7V)(FRANKFURT: A7V). Little Pigeon Lake NI 43-101 report received - Multiple drill targets defined - Inferred Hollinger/McIntyre/Coniarum complex identified and Dr. Mark Fedikow appointed QP.

Management is pleased to announce that the Company has received the Little Pigeon Lake NI 43-101 technical report authored by Dr. Fedikow of Mount Morgan Resources Ltd. The report compiled all geoscientific data available on the Little Pigeon Lake project and has made recommendations for future exploration on the project.

The project is part of the Company's Red Vein Property and situated in the heart of a highly productive mining triangle between the established centers of Timmins, Sudbury and Kirkland Lake, where more than 170 million ounces of gold and 200 million tons of base metals have been mined. Subsequent to data compilation and integration significant exploration targets have been identified on the project.

The significance of a 2.3 km-long, 0.8-5.0 m wide, high-grade copper-gold quartz vein on the property has been emphasized based on a review of the geologic, structural, alteration and metal contents of the copper-gold deposits of the Hollinger-McIntyre-Coniarum Complex in Timmins. The Little Pigeon Lake high-grade quartz vein, with up to 10.4% copper and 0.13 g/t gold, is hosted within high-Mg volcanic rocks and rooted within an I.P. geophysically-inferred intrusion. The intrusion is interpreted as the heat engine and possible metal-source for the copper and gold in the vein. Alteration adjacent to this vein has been described as silica-sericite but is suspected to be a fine-grained intergrowth of albite and quartz, an alteration style that is characteristic of the copper and gold ore bodies within the Complex that have been mined for copper and gold since 1912. The similarities that exist between the Complex and the Little Pigeon Lake quartz vein are compelling and as such the Little Pigeon Lake quartz vein is a priority drill target. Geophysical and geochemical surveys will accompany detailed geologic mapping along the remainder of the copper-gold quartz vein where IP surveys have not been completed.

Elsewhere on the Little Pigeon Lake project, base metal massive sulphide copper-zinc targets have been identified as a result of basic mapping and prospecting. These base metal targets will be assessed following a program of airborne magnetic and electromagnetic geophysical surveys and screening with Mobile Metal Ions surveys.

The Little Pigeon Lake project is located in the south-eastern part of the Company's Red Vein property which consists of 192 claim units, 3,072 Ha, in Natal Township.

Mark Fedikow, Ph.D. P.Eng. P.Geo. C.P.G. has verified and approved the geoscientific information contained in this news release. Dr. Fedikow is a Qualified Person as defined in National Instrument 43-101 (Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects).

Appointments. Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Mark Fedikow as the Company's Qualified Person (QP) as defined in National Instrument 43-101 for all the Company's properties in Ontario, Canada. Dr Mehmet Taner, formally holding this appointment, retains the appointment of the Company's QP for the Company's Italian properties.

President's comments: 'I am delighted to welcome Mark Fedikow to the team and thank him for the excellent NI 43-101 report. I am looking forward to his advice and guidance on the exploration of all our Ontario properties. Our reconnaissance diamond drilling on the western end of the Copper/Gold mineralized vein of the Little Pigeon Lake project is imminent and will provide more geological data on this very exciting geological model.'
