Adroit Resources Stakes Nursey Lake Property, 20 Claims, (277 Units), Larder Lake Break, Timmins South Mining Camp, Ontario

26.04.2012  |  Marketwire
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/26/12 -- Adroit Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ADT)(FRANKFURT: A7V) (BERLIN: A7V) stakes new Nursey Lake Property, 20 claims, (277 units), Larder Lake Break, Timmins South Mining Camp, Ontario.

Management is pleased to announce the acquisition of twenty new claims (277 claim units) located in Nursey and Burrows Townships. The claims cover an area of 4,432 hectares and are northwest of Adroit's expansive 190 km2 Red Vein Property.

The claims are of particular significance to the Company's exploration efforts as they represent the acquisition of a larger portion of the Larder Lake Break on the northwestern segment of Adroit's recently extended Red Vein (April 17, Adroit News Release) and Halliday Lake properties. This deformation zone hosts very significant amounts of gold mineralization, including the mines at Kirkland Lake, where 37.3 million oz. of gold from 25 mines were mined with a recovered grade of 12.74 g/t. The camp ranks second in Canada, next only to Timmins, with respect to total ounces of gold produced.

Adroit Resources' Nursey Lake property in the north is bound to the east by the Nebu Resources Cork Lake property and is approximately 3km from SGX's Edelston Zone (February 23, 2012 SGX Resources Press Release). SGX intersected 65 m of 1.82 g/t gold hosted within a silicified and sheared ultramafic volcanic rock with 3-5% pyrite, rare chalcopyrite and visible gold. This zone has now been traced for 900 m in a northeast-southwest trend and is the focus of an active drill program. In the south, the Nursey Lake property is less than 1km from Transition Metals' Jumping Moose property upon which a 26 tonne boulder assayed 1,245 grams per tonne gold (40 ounces per tonne gold). Studies suggest maximum glacial displacement of only 500 m for the boulder from its source. Follow-up exploration indicates the boulder likely originated from a well-mineralized high-grade vein system developed within the Larder-Cadillac fault system that is present on the property. This vein system contains the Tittley gold-silver-tellerium vein showing which had assay results of 71.9-98.2 grams per tonne gold (2.3 to 3.2 ounces per tonne gold) and 0.5% tellurium, (for a map, please go to Adroit's homepage, www.adroitresources.ca).

Adroit Resources President Graeme Rowland states, "We are delighted that we were able to stake this property, given the extensive staking currently taking place in the area, following SGX's recent drill results. SGX's results and the promising early stage work done on the Transition Metals property show that this area is highly prospective for gold. Recent exploration success in the immediate area by companies such as Aurico (previously Northgate Minerals) and Trelawney are providing incentive for further gold exploration in the area."

The Nursey Lake property is part of the Company's growing property portfolio in this under-explored part of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt in Ontario. Along with Halliday Lake and Red Vein we now have over 250km2 of a very prospective area. It is situated in the heart of a highly productive mining triangle between the established centers of Timmins, Sudbury and Kirkland Lake, where more than 170 million ounces of gold and 200 million tons of base metals have been mined.
